Putin and Providence

Here’s a video of my conversation with my good friend, Crane Durham of American Family Radon Network, for those who are looking for an analysis of the Crimean crisis which includes theological interpretations, in addition to the geopolitical and economic points of view which are already widely available in mass media. Part of the reason Russia is rising at our expense is our spiritual drift.

  • What a complete and total joke this nimrod is ? Do you think he is a scholar of any kind / I don’t and never have. He is a disgrace and a humiliation in many ways. Putin is laughing his ass off at Obama and deliberately tweeking him and it is NOT over ? Count on it, there will be more. Maybe Georgia or ? And what will the N Koreans and Iran do as well seeing Obama as a buffoon? This entire regime is a serious bad joke and an illusion created to be a control mechanism. Putin kicked Obamas ask and made himm look like a weak fool !

I must confess that I do not understand some attempt at humour. Moral clarity on the part of the US? Isn’t this the same US that invaded Iraq based on false claims and wound up spending more than $1 trillion of taxpayer revenues so that the Shiites who are allies of Iran can push the Sunnis out of power? Isn’t this the same US that sided with al-Qaeda in Libya and Syria and was ready to bomb Syria based on black flag operations carried out by Turkey?

And what is the nonsense that oil is only expensive because of Gaia worship? Oil is expensive because the marginal barrel of production is expensive. Yes, we can pull out some barrels at $15 but those are rare and cannot satisfy more than a tiny percentage of global demand. Does your guest really think that the US shale sector can survive with a $40 oil price when the cost of production in the AVERAGE formation is closer to $100 and we cannot find a single company who is economic at current prices? Have you guys bothered to look at 10-K statements? If you have which of the shale producers are economic at $90 a barrel? And if you cannot find any evidence of profitability where does the nonsense of $40 come from? Do you really want the economic contraction that would create that $40 price? And even if you did, what happens to the future price when the marginal producers go under and the supply levels fall sharply?

I am sorry to say this but the US is losing its economic power because too many people are economic illiterates and see nothing wrong with spending as much each year on military related activities as comes in from personal income tax revenue. If you want a strong America cut all that spending, mind your own business, and trade with everyone. Let the Ukrainians deal with their problems by having fair elections that determine the outcome, not foreign funded coups that bring Nazi worshipers into positions of power.
